Job Description:

This position encompasses interest in and knowledge of government, public policy, transit, tolling and mobility. General focus is on the State of Georgia’s transit planning and funding coordination agency for the metro Atlanta region, the Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority (ATL). Under the supervision of the Director of Government and External Affairs, this position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and management of government and external affairs plans, communications strategies, and external strategic partnerships of the ATL, as well as those of its affiliated entities (the State Road and Tollway Authority and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority). This position will build and sustain effective relationships with elected and appointed government officials, partner agencies, key constituencies, and others who have significant impact on the Authorities, while promoting the state’s key strategic mobility plans and policies through effective communications. The position will be an active team member furthering the ATL’s robust transit planning and funding coordination efforts, and communicating to external stakeholders regarding that work as well as key priorities of SRTA/GRTA, including Peach Pass, the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank, and the state’s Express Lane system.
